The Hotel Asahi is situated 400 metres from the city's main railway station and one kilometre from the Konigsallee shopping street. This modern four-floor hotel features 53 guestrooms, all of which include cable television, wireless Internet, phones, desks, safes, minibars and coffee and tea making facilities. Bathrooms have baths, showers and hairdryers. Guestrooms are designed in a modern style with simple colours and parquet floors.
After a complimentary Japanese or buffet breakfast, guests can relax with a coffee in the lobby and use the Internet facilities to plan days out. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can assist with currency exchange, dry cleaning and laundry facilities. Guests can unwind in the sauna and steam room after a long day, before relaxing with a pre-dinner drink in the hotel's WunderBar. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area including Salute and Nippon Kan. Around 300 trains a day stop at the Düsseldorf Airport Rail Station which is located directly on a major axis of the European railway network. A monorail connects the railway station and the terminal building. The S7 S-Bahn (underground) train connects the airport and the main station which is 400 metres from the hotel. The bus station is located in front of central Arrivals, where taxis can also be found. A typical taxi fare to the hotel is around 15 EUR. Düsseldorf has trams, buses and a metro system. A single ticket costs around 2 EUR. Trams stop running at around midnight during the week, some trams run until 2 AM.
